Homing Requirements:

Colin needs a caring home with a terrier proof garden and exit management. Could be first time Patterdale owner but ideally not first time terrier owners so that he  can succeed and be understood. Could live with another dog. Not for cats or small furries.

His Story:

Colin was found stray and unclaimed. Has come to us at

in the hope that his rightful home is found. He is currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick, Surrey.

Colin is a sweetie pie! He has a really gentle manner and yes he can get excited as every terrier does but if the family provided a calm environment oh wow you'll have a calm terrier. Colin hasn't got an edge with humans and so meets strangers well and can be picked up and handled. He walks well on the lead ... keen to see and to smell and making his walk colourful and a joy. We wouldn't risk any Patterdale off lead as no matter how keen their training the running fox or squirrel will always attract above and beyond the human call. Travels well in the car.

Colin is a smooth haired patterdale with a docked tail and definitely from a working background though may not have been worked himself. He can be a little hand shy with strangers but soon overcomes any reservation. Enjoys an extender lead, curious in the home and we would trust him around children IF you can trust them!

WH Blk/Wht Working Patterdale Terrier  Male Entire  4years    Avail  8.5.12 1st vax 8.5.12    NCF   Fair bodily condition. Scurfy coat. JDS Bath and Milbemax wormer 8.5.12. NCF. Good with adults (not child tested), dogs …but not good with cats!!! Doesn’t really know any basic commands. Loves food, treats and toys. Proper working terrier..a little full-on, but very friendly, bright and active . Seems much younger than his teeth suggest!! Good horsey type home...Great little independent dog….very appealing..!!!!!
